ED 800 focused on the history and philosophies of the concepts of inquiry in education. It encouraged the MAED students to stand at philosophical, psychological, biological, historical, biographical, ethnographic points of view to explore and thus deeply acknowledge concepts of educational inquiry methodologically. It also included the roles of information and communications technologies in inquiry and applications of inquiry to educational practices.

CE818 aimed to develop MAED students’ creativity in an interactive series of eight modules to explore the meaning of creativity—how it was defined and explore valuable strategies for thinking creativity, particularly in the context of teaching and learning. It also guided the MAED students going through emphasis on trans-disciplinary creativity rooted in fundamental connections between art and science, applied and pure knowledge to find commonalities between strategies and habits of thought used by creative individuals in any discipline.

ED870 was designed to compile and synthesize all of the work the MAED students have previously completed. By helping MAED students developing a web portfolio that showed in a rich, thoughtful way the work we have done in the MAED program, we have achieved: 1) a portfolio we are proud of, 2) a deeper understanding of the power of the portfolio concept, and 3) an expanded set of web publishing skills combined with deep reflection about the power of web publishing in the lives of others you teach.
